leather sleeves

Our leather sleeves are made using full-grain leather — the highest grade available — which retains the complete outer layer of the hide, including natural grain, scars, and texture. This ensures maximum durability and a uniquely organic appearance.

They’re also vegetable-tanned using natural tannins derived from tree bark and plant matter — a traditional, environmentally conscious process that takes weeks to complete.

MORE INFO ABOUT OUR LEATHER

Local Leather
Our local leather, sourced from Marikina, Philippines, is vegetable-tanned using natural tannins derived from tree bark and plant matter — a traditional, environmentally conscious process that takes weeks to complete.

Unlike mineral-tanned leathers, vegetable-tanned leather contains no synthetic chemicals, making it biodegradable and ideal for aging gracefully. Over time, it develops a deep, rich patina that reflects its journey with you. Naturally firm and structured, this leather softens slightly with use while maintaining its integrity for years.

Italian Leather
These leather sleeves are crafted from premium Italian leather sourced from the renowned Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany, Italy. A member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale (Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium), Badalassi Carlo is celebrated for its artisanal approach and adherence to traditional, eco-conscious tanning methods.

The leather is full-grain and vegetable-tanned using time-honored techniques and natural tannins extracted from chestnut and mimosa bark.

This slow tanning process—free of synthetic chemicals—produces leather that is rich in character, environmentally sustainable, and designed to last a lifetime. The surface retains the hide's natural grain, allowing for unique variations and a patina that deepens with age and handling. Smooth yet structured, this leather offers a luxurious feel and exceptional durability, making it a material of choice for fine leathercraft.

Certified by the Consortium, each piece of Italian leather we offer guarantees authenticity, traceability, and superior quality, upholding the legacy of Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
